Site fees are situated under the Site Fees tab.

General category site fees are based on a percentage of the auction listing fee, Feature Fees and End of Auction Success fee.

Store Fees are a set fee and are based on the amount of items you have in your store.

Classified ads Choose a category are based on a fixed fee and include Cars, Business for sale, Four wheel drives, Motor Bikes and Real Estate,

Log into your members area.

Firstly you will need to decide if the auction is going to appear in your store, site or both.

There are 7 steps to complete.

1. Main category choose a main category then move to the bottom of the page and press the Next Step button.

2. Additional category choose a second category if you do not want a second category move to the bottom of the page and press the Skip this step button.

3. Item details category, enter details about the item you are auctioning, offer as much information as you can, you must include a header and description.

4. Settings choose what settings you want for your auction, this includes price, start time, upload images or a media file, feature listing. You need to choose the council area your auction is in, this will help with the advance search. It pays to look through each option before moving to the next step.

5.Shipping and Payment decide your shipping conditions and how what type of payment conditions you are wanting.

6.Preview what your auction is going to read and look like, at this stage you have the option to Save as draft, Cancel or List Now once the item is listed your account will be deducted the auction amount on displayed on this page.

Finish, the auction is placed and bidding can start.

Manage your listings

Log into your Members area.

Click on the Selling button or click on the selling link in the task pane on the left, there are several options Sell similar, Edit auction or Delete.

After the auction closes

Seller

You will be sent an automated email advising if you have had a successful sale and who the successful bidder is or if the auction passed with out a bid. If you had chosen when listing your auction for an auto re-list the auction will re-list, there is a fee for this Site Fees.

After the successful auction you will need to log into your Members area to finalise the auction and email the winner. You have the option of sending the winner a invoice.

It is advised to wait for the payment to show in your bank account prior to sending the goods, always refer to our Safe Trading tips. Once payment is received you need to leave feedback.

You will have the Success fee deducted from you TasTrader account

Buyer

You will be sent an automated email advising you are the winner. The seller can send you an invoice. Log into the your Members area to finalise the auction and email the seller. It is advised that you use caution when sending funds, check the users reputation, use Pay Pal this guarantee’s your funds especially for large amounts and refer to our Safe Trading tips. Once you have received the goods you need to leave feedback.

Buyer Problems

Once an auction has closed and there is a winning bidder the winning bidder is committed to pay for the item.

It is advised not to send the item or items until you have received payment into your bank account.

If you have not received payment within two weeks and are not getting a response from the winning bidder then you should contact us and file a non-payment report.

TasTrader staff will follow up with the winning bidder. We advise that you try to confirm with the winning bidder if there is any problem and advise TasTrader.

You need to log in to your Members area click on the Selling button or look in the members task pane on the left of screen and choose Fees Calculator under the Selling Section and fill in the appropriate boxes.


Become a store

Top

You need to log in to your Members area and click on My Store.

Click on Subscription Set up, you need to choose what subscription you are going to have with TasTrader there are four options. Fees are fixed and reoccur each month.

Once you have chosen a store subscription the funds will be deducted from your account.

Main Settings allows you to set what type of store you have and what your store will look like, click the Proceed button at the bottom of the page.

Store pages includes areas to write information About this store, Store specials, Shipping info and Company polices, click the Proceed button.

Custom categories allows you to add categories that are not in the TasTrader categories list, if you do not add a custom category then your store will use the TasTrader categories.

Note: You can not have an About me if you have a Store!

Business & Tax

Top

TasTrader is an environment for buying and selling goods, you as a business may be liable to the ATO to provide details of transactions for tax purposes.

If you are not sure of your tax obligations you should contact the ATO or an accountant.

Postage

Top

TasTrader is not involved in the postage of items, there are different options that a seller can choose when setting up an auction, fees for postage can be charged to the buyer or the seller.
